Trouble Shooting the Super Pump & Ultimate Gravel Vac

Super Pump parts

Unscrew the top & piece of the super pump with the hexagon hole from the main body of the super pump.
Unscrew the bottom piece from the super pump body by backing out the two screws holding it to body.
Make sure there is no obstruction in the hole running thru the main body of the super pump.
Reassemble the super pump to its original state.
Screw the plastic adapter to the faucet, then screw super pump to plastic adapter while holding the super pump in your desired position. ( DO NOT TURN SUPER PUMP AFTER SCREWING IT TO THE PLASTIC ADAPTER AS THIS WILL UNSCREW THE TOP OF THE SUPER PUMP CAUSING LEAKAGE.)
With the bottom piece of the super pump in the down position (drain) turn on your cold water faucet wide open and place your thumb completely across the opening in the super pump where the hose would normally be screwed.
You should feel a vacuum pulling on your thumb.
- If you feel a vacuum the super pump is good. Turn off faucet.
- If you do not feel a vacuum you have a bad super pump. Return unit to the store you purchased it from for a refund or new unit.
Screw the hose to the super pump.
Turn and pull up the bottom piece of the super pump to the fill position.
Turn on the faucet and check to make sure the water runs threw the hose with no obstructions, please do this holding the claw end of unit in your sink and the valve in the open position let water run until the hose is completely filled and water is running out the claw unobstructed.
If there was an obstruction turn faucet off and check each fitting and the valve for obstruction. Repeat test.
With the hose and claw completely filled with water turn off the faucet.
Turn and pull down the bottom piece of the super pump (drain position).
Turn on the faucet wide open with the claw end of unit at sink level.
The suction from the super pump should pull the water out of the hose at a rate of one to two feet per second with normal water pressure.
- If this is the case your unit is working correctly.
- If not you may need to return unit to the store you purchased it from for a refund or new unit.
